About the authors: Matthew Tanner was born in London in 1964 and has spent most of his adult life living and working there. He has written for national newspapers including the Observer and the Independent and worked for a time on the now defunct London listings magazine City Limits. He regularly writes and edits for a number of major travel publishers.

Joss Waterfall is a writer and editor who has lived in London for five years, but realised soon after arriving that getting to know its pockets and corners is a lifetimes pursuit. She has edited and updated several books for Cadogan Guides.
